CITY COLLEGES OF CHICAGO ( Harold Washington and Olive-Harvey College)
Accomplishments:
- Successfully managed a $1.2 million Department of Education Title III developmental education grant, which in its final year created professional development activities in technology use in the classroom, development education initiatives, and new pilot cohorts business students transitioning from adult education to college credit.
- Managed operation of over 600 full- and part-time F2F and Online faculty and staff for the division with nearly 40 immediate and 7 direct and indirect reports of associate deans, directors, and program coordinators.
- Conceptualized and implemented new successful student recruitment and retention initiatives for Business and Professional Service students in the CCC College to Careers Program.
- Coordinated with faculty, industry partners, and district staff to direct the evaluation, review, sunsetting, and implementation of 4 new/revised innovative Business and Professional Services degree programs.
- Successfully managed a $1.2 million Department of Education Predominately Black Institutes grant for aimed towards science, technology, and developmental education grant, which created innovated curriculum in the classroom and allowed for enhanced learning community science and computer laboratories.
- Successfully managed new career programs that led to first 10 graduates in Process Technology for the college in 3 years.
- Led the division to successfully secure first National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation for the colleges Child Development program.
ILLINOIS INSITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (Digital Media Center and Office of Multicultural Student Services)
Accomplishments:
- Hand-picked for my expertise to conceptualize and administer a $2 million private and public-funded technology outreach program with responsibilities including strategic planning; community development and leveraging both internal and external technology and human resources.
- As the first executive director of Office of Multicultural Student Services Department, I conceptualized and brought into fruition key services, programs and activities that combined both diversity awareness initiatives and retention services for multicultural college students and community members.
- Managed multiple technology programs that impacted over 2500 community clients (teachers, students, community members) aimed at improved technology literacy and academic enhancement.
- Developed and participated on over ten (10) advisory boards, councils, and committees comprised of industry, community and academia representatives to leverage and coordinate financial, technology and academic resources for organizations
CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY (Dept. of Chemistry, Physics, & Engineering Studies)
Accomplishments:
- Administered several NSF, NIH, and NASA-funded undergraduate retention programs for nearly 150 undergraduate research students in four years totaling to over $500K with responsibilities that included marketing and recruitment, retention and graduate school placement assistance.
- Successfully developed three, and instructed four, college-credit courses including a Physical Science course required for graduation for various disciplines.
- Managed federal-initiated, multi-tiered evaluation metrics and annual tracking activities for multiple grants.

Sincere and honest with a high level of personal and professional integrity. An exceptional work-ethic motivated by drive to conceptualize, implement, review, and succeed. With an MS in Technical Communications and Information Design, Kevin has undertaken both professional and consulting tasks with educational institutions such as Illinois Insitute of Technology, Chicago Public Schools, Chicago State University, and City Colleges of Chicago.
